One of my favourite labels has a new addition to its range. The Carpano Merino Wool track top by Magliamo.
I have mentioned these wonderful track tops before, but there aren’t too many new additions to the range. That’s because each one takes a lot of work, some research and I would guess, some clearance with the rights holders too. But this one has just landed on the Magliamo racks.
Don’t know Carpano? Well, that’s no surprise unless you are up on cycling team history. Carpano was an Italian professional cycling team that existed from 1956 to 1966, with its main sponsor being a Turin-based wine company of the same name.
The cycling shirts were based on the Juventus shirts of the time, but this isn’t a cycling shirt. It is a track top based on the team and the era.
As ever, plenty of detail and quality. A vintage-style top with short zipper, 100% extra-fine Italian merino wool construction, contrasting stripe collar, cuff and waist plus the team and Italian branding.
All made to a high stand of course, which is what you pay for. Talking of price, this retails online for €149 in sizes from small through to XXL.
