Quite liked the look of the first designs and the second wave shaping up too, not least the 1950s Tilson cotton jacket by Anglozine.
Like the designs in the first wave, the Tilson cotton jacket has a hip vintage feel about it, with this design actually based on a specific vintage piece – a military warm-up training jacket from the 1950s.
It’s described as an ‘easy fit’ jacket with full zip front and with inside pockets that are apparently large enough for a laptop or a 12-inch record. Yes, that big.
The jacket is made of Halley Stevenson’s lightweight waterproof 100% cotton and is detailed with a right side horizontal zip pocket and side seam pockets, polyester/cotton mix rib collar and cuff, a made in Japan side pull drawcord with clear plastic toggles and those two huge internal pockets.
Premium materials and made in England to exacting standards. Of course, it doesn’t come cheap but isn’t ridiculously expensive either. The jacket is in three colours and sells for £195 directly from the maker.
