You could buy something like this from John Smedley for £100 or more. Alternatively, the Uniqlo long sleeve extra fine merino polo shirts are under £30.
Don’t get me wrong, I love John Smedley and its knitwear. The quality is top drawer and if something comes along that I can afford, I always consider it. That’s definitely where the online John Smedley Outlet comes in.
But if you can’t find anything in the Outlet or you just want some everyday knitwear without paying out a fortune, Uniqlo’s range is definitely worth checking out.
New in with an eye for autumn (but you could probably get away with them when the temperatures drop in the evening right now), there are plenty of colours to choose from, as well as an increased range of sizes.
If you want to know about the colours, have a look at all of them on this page. As for the sizes, well they now go from XS through to XXL, which will presumably cover everyone.
Each is made of an ultra-fine merino wool, with a ‘special coating’ to prevent pilling and a three-button collar.
If you want one, most sizes are currently available (which might not be the case around September), priced at £29.90 each.
