A bit out of my range at full price, the Beams Plus knitted polo shirts are a little more achievable in the sale.
In fact, I was going to mention these at their full price point. Beams Plus does some lovely classic/old-school knitwear as a rule and this is no exception. The shades might be a tough autumnal, but this is the kind of look that works well on moderately warm days over the summer months.
Take your pick from a brown or green, with the designs much the same for both. It’s a spun cotton shirt with a ribbed-knit construction and a vertical stripe pattern to the front.
Tipped collar, contrasting sleeves, three buttons, a straight hem, that’s pretty much it. A vintage-style shirt with a quality construction (always the same with Beams Plus out of Japan) and different enough to stand out from the crowd. Which is pretty much the point isn’t it?
Originally these sold for around £140, but if you want one now, the green is available in various sizes for £84 and the brown comes in cheaper, selling for £70. But like all sale items, they are unlikely to be around forever, especially in the more popular sizes.
