Vintage striped t-shirts by 66 Clothing

There are plenty of other options around, but I really like these vintage striped t-shirts by 66 Clothing.

I do love a striped t-shirt this time of the year and if you check the archives you’ll find a good few more – and others will almost certainly follow too. But for now, have a look at these, which have a little more about them than most. Can a stripey t-shirt have character? Well yes, it can.

The range here is very much pop culture focused and with a strong 1960s influence. Think mid-period Beatles or hip-era Beach Boys. Colour before the psychedelic era. That gives you an idea of what the range is about.

In fact, you can probably deduce that from the names on offer here. ‘Surf Blue, ‘Surf Larry’, ‘Macca’, ‘Ringo’ and so on. But there are more up-to-date influences as well, although the likes of ‘Cafe Bleu’ and ‘Mani’ are probably retro references in themselves these days.

But you get the idea. Striped tops with a nod to icons of the past. But at the end of the day, very wearable and eye-catching designs that are perfect for the summer months. Ideal for now as I look out of the window.

I’ve picked out a few to give you a flavour of what the range is about.

First up, s new addition, the Style Council-influenced Paris Match, which like all of these shirts is a poly/cotton mix and with a fit true to size. Nice chunky collar too.

Working down the page, you’ll also see the Campus Wide (with a nod to the ivy league era), the Surf Larry, a bit of a football influence with the Number 6 top and finally, a recreation of a t-shirt Paul McCartney wore back in the day, known simply as the Macca.

Regardless of the design, they are all priced around the same point, which is somewhere between £35 and £39. Sizes go small to 3XL in most cases.
