Another sale find, although I’ve had my eye on this Awake Vintage-style Lightweight Wool Jacket since it was at full price.
It is described as a Harrington Jacket but isn’t the kind of thing Baracuta and the like produces. But it has a look that takes inspiration from a similar era. You can see this being worn in the 1950s and 1960s as well as in the modern era.
Saying that the jacket also has its own individual look, courts of the minimal look, the charcoal wool construction, and the contrast stitching. As always, the concept of ‘less is more’ is the best route to go down.
The above pretty much sums up what you get here, as well as the zip front, the two open slant pockets, plus the old-school collar. Timeless is probably the word I am looking for; this isn’t something that’s likely to age as the seasons pass, which is always a bonus if you are laying out for clothing.
Originally this jacket from the New York-based label was selling for £192, and as I said, it was a design that caught my eye back then. But the sales are now in full effect, and you can get this one for a much reduced £115.20 in most sizes.
