Not cheap, but these Adidas Gazelle Gore-Tex trainers are designed for the time of year. And a limited edition, too.
The shoes are a collaboration with Tetsu Nishiyama of DCDT, and the one obvious design tweak (construction aside) is the DCDT branding on the heel. Outside of that, it’s pretty much the Gazelle you know and possibly love and a design that generally dates back to 1968.
But there is that construction, which is likely to be a big selling point at this time of the year.
The classic Gazelle has been upgraded with a synthetic Gore-Tex upper; this should mean your feet are kept dry at this of year. It’s more practical than a suede finish, that’s for sure, especially if you live in the UK.
Outside of that, the known details remain. So the ’t-toe design’, contrast heel tab and three stripes on the side. As you’ve probably noticed, it has a black and gold finish, which is a bit of a classic, too.
Most sizes are available, but that’s unlikely to be the case for long, even at the £130 price point.
