I’m getting some strong vintage vibes from this Beams Plus knit raglan polo shirt – which is actually discounted, too.
I’m not sure if it’s a ‘now’ design or something to save for later. I suppose it depends on how you intend to wear it. For me, this is more of a spring (or even summer) knit. But if you wear it under something, you could probably get away with it now, too. But this yellow top will come into its own when the sun shines.
It’s a good-looking thing and a slight departure from Beams Plus. Usually known for reworking ivy or preppy designs, this one has more of a late 1960s, even an early 1970s look about it. It is still a mid-20th-century design. Just a little later than some of the label’s looks.
And I like it for that reason. The colour, the stripes and a collar that extends a bit further than most Beams Plus polo shirts, as well as having a slightly longer four-button placket.
It is made from 100% cotton, with a ribbed hem and cuffs and all the usual sizes. The full price is £143.95, but you can get it discounted at Urban Industry for £107.95 in the sale right now.
It’s also a little cheaper at The Hip Store at £130.
