I love it when Adidas pulls something random out of its archive. Like these 1970s archive Adidas track tops, for example.

I’m not entirely sure if they are from the 1970s – it doesn’t specifically say. But I have seen archive tops like this in the Adidas range. This one has more than a hint of the West Germany track top from 1974 but with a zip front rather than the buttons. Pretty much the template for many Adidas designs of the mid-1970s.

As I said, there has been a slight tweak to the look, with a more practical zip added in instead of the buttons. Personally, I love a button front, but I can see why it has been changed. The logo, too, while still sticking to the old-school Trefoil, adds the name rather than just using the logo. Outside of that, it’s pretty much a 1970s reissue.

Two colour options are available, with the green being the more eye-catching for me. I just like the white contrast front and collar. The blue is a little more low-key but not without its own appeal.

The one concern I would have is the ‘loose fit’ – so check those size details before you order. At £65, it seems reasonable if you like a bit of vintage sportswear.
