The vintage-style zip-up Paris sweatshirt by Lacoste is a fine example of when this particular label gets it right.
I like Lacoste. I know, in many people’s eyes, that it still has that casual affiliation, but that was the best part of 40 years ago. I think we’ve all grown up a bit since then, and we can appreciate clothing and labels for what they are. And Lacoste is one of the better heritage brands out there.

Like all such labels, it walks a fine line between pumping out the classics and appealing to a fashion market (not unlike Fred Perry in 2025). But Lacoste also isn’t afraid to nip into its archive for inspiration too.
I don’t believe this is a straight reissue, but this Paris sweatshirt by Lacoste is inspired by vintage tennis designs. It has a strong 1960s vibe, and I’m all for it.

As much a jacket as a sweatshirt (or even a track top if you like), it’s constructed from premium double-face pique and features a contrasting collar, cuffs, and hem, a zipped breast pocket, and of course, the iconic green embroidered crocodile on the chest. That’s all, and the simplicity makes it all the better.
