That’s partly because the A.P.C. is never cheap. This is a Parisian label that has been producing quality gear based on classics for some years. But it does come at a price. Throw in the fact that this is a suede jacket and it bumps up even more.
Saying that this is a jacket that will be with you for some time. I have a couple of suede jackets that have been in my wardrobe for longer than I can remember. Look after them and one with a ‘classic’ look and it should pay for itself. It’s just that this one will take longer to pay for itself than some others.
The jacket is a brown calfskin bomber that takes inspiration from the middle of the 20th century. Ivy league and beyond. It has a full-length zip, ribbed trims and two pockets. According to the retailer, the jacket will also develop ‘a love-worn patina over time’ that makes each one unique.
