What do you get if you cross a bowling shoe with an Adidas classic? Something like these Adidas Gazelle trainers.
Of course, Adidas has produced classic bowling shoes in the past and you might well recall the Adidas X Jeremy Scott bowling shoes from a few years back that do pop up on eBay now and again.
But this isn’t a bowling shoe. This is a reissue of a classic Adidas Gazelle from a few years back (note the pull on the back) using colours that give it a bowling shoe look.
So rather than the more commonly seen suede upper, this one mainly has a premium leather finish. That’s contrasted with serrated 3-Stripes in red and blue, suede on the toe box and heel and of course, two Gazelle staples of the gold branding and rubber sole.
Whether you want these is really down to your love of colour. There’s a lot going on here, which is a big selling point, but also something that might put a few off. At the end of the day, it’s all down to personal taste.
If the bowling shoe makeover works for you then you can pick a pair up on pretty much any size right now. £90 is the price of a pair of these.
