I wouldn’t usually go overboard about a new colour option, but the Adidas Gazelle trainers in white leather are worth talking about. Especially as they’re in the sale.
But there are other reasons. First, it’s a leather finish compared to the more commonly seen suede upper. I prefer that personally, not least because it’s usually more useful in the wetter months.
It’s also a white leather matched with the red and black details. Yes, white might not be the most practical colour for trainers, but there’s no denying it looks good.
And with the contrasting details, it looks even better. Very old school – and that’s always nice to see.
But it is a Gazelle, which is pretty common and popular too. It has been for decades. With the occasional tweak, it has been selling in numbers since the 1960s. For good reason. It is a no-nonsense design, with that leather upper, T-toe overlay, a rubber sole and, of course, all the classic branding.
If you want a pair they are in the sale, now retailing for £65.
