It looks like a tennis shoe and maybe that’s the point with the Adidas Gazelle trainers in white leather.
With Wimbledon being on, it’s probably a good time to issue a show that looks like it was made for the tennis court, but if I’m honest, I think it’s probably all coincidence.
After all, the Gazelle has been around for decades and during that time I suspect the colour combination has been used once or twice. In fact, it probably appeared back in 1991.
That’s because the shoe you see here is said to replicate a 1991 version, using the same materials and colours, and with the slightly wider proportions of that era.
The leather upper has a water-repellent finish for all-weather wear, the heel contrasts with some navy blue and the shoe has a lightweight EVA midsole and a rubber outsole.
An interesting take on a classic all-rounder and if you fancy the Adidas Gazelle trainers in white leather on your feet, you are looking at £69.95.
