Adidas Halewood SPZL parkas (image credit: End)
Everyone seems to be reworking this particular military coat these days. The Adidas Halewood SPZL parkas are the latest on the racks.
I actually compiled a six of the best modern-day fishtail parkas round-up over at Modculture recently, which proved pretty popular for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, a lot of people love a parka and were interested in the options out there. The other reason is the cost of a vintage one these days – they don’t come cheap. Although, to be fair, nor does this one.
And its appeal is likely dictated by your love of the Adidas label and in particular, the SPZL offshoot. This is part of the latest SPZL range and as you might expect, it is a mix of reworks of classic and obscure Adidas silhouettes, along with some clothing and accessories. This parka comes from the second category.
In many ways, this is the classic military parka, with all the details you would expect. From the pockets and drawstrings to the fishtail at the rear.
But this one is made from lightweight recycled nylon, and features an oversized hood, as well as signature SPZL graphics and patches on the back, chest, and sleeve.
There are two colours available, both of which go on sale tomorrow in all sizes. If you want one, you are looking at £220.
