There’s a sale on currently, which is why these are now budget fabric bomber jackets at Mango. A classic look for not a lot of cash.
Not that they weren’t pretty cheap in the first place. Mango seems to be doing a good job right now producing interesting clothing with a classic look for reasonable money. Not everything – some things go a bit down the ‘fashion’ route for my liking. But a lot of the designs are worth a look. Especially now there are some discounts in the sale.
This design reminds me of the incredibly popular Maison Kitsune Tricolour Fox Windbreaker, which is perhaps best-known as the bomber jacket Paul Weller sported in the not-too-distant past. It is a lovely thing and I’m pretty sure you can still pick it up. But it isn’t cheap at just over the £200 mark.
This one has a similar look and a similar fabric. Certainly no copy – and obviously not packing a logo – but if you liked the look but baulked at the price of a Maison Kitsune jacket, this might be for you.
The one here is a water-repellent, technical fabric bomber jacket available in three shades. Two are pictured here, with the other not that different to the green shown on this page.
Details are subtle and all the better for it. Rounded neck, two zip pockets on the front, inner lining, inner pocket, that’s pretty much it. A lightweight jacket designed for days like today.
In the sale now in all sizes, it sells for just £49.99.
