A decent bit of knitwear on the high street. This Classic Striped Crew Neck Jumper at Marks & Spencer, which is a new arrival.
Once upon a time (and I am going back a few years) Marks & Spencer used to be worth keeping an eye on for knitwear. They did some quality knits for not a lot of cash. Smedley-style polos in particular, as well cardigans for a fair price. They also did an interesting heritage range once, which unfortunately wasn’t around for long.
Then it went a bit ‘fashion’ and for me, hasn’t been somewhere I would make a point of browsing. But if late I have seen some 1960s-style knits on the racks as well as this set of striped sweaters, which have just arrived with an eye on spring.
It’s just one of those terms everyone seems to love. A thick stripe sweater with a crew neck. The appeal is in the stripe, with this one also throwing in an affordable price too to sweeten the deal further.
Take your pick of three different colour combinations, with the blue being my personal favourite. A crew neck, a cotton blend construction and that’s pretty much all you need. Sizes are from very small to very large and all in-between and as for the price, you can pick one of these up for just £29.50.
A great bit of everyday wear for that money.
