Sometimes less really is more. That’s definitely the case with this Fred Perry Reissues 1952 archive polo shirt.
As you might have guessed from the title, the Fred Perry 1952 polo shirt is an archive reissue from Fred Perry, bringing back an authentic reproduction of the original 1952 tennis shirt.
This was before the twin-tipping and the colours. Such things weren’t exactly welcome on the Wimbledon court back in the early 1950s. But there’s no denying that stripping back all of that detail actually works well.
The reissue of this 100 per cent cotton pique polo features a dropped hem and a one-button placket. That’s a Mother of Pearl button, one of the few details here outside of the vintage Fred Perry Laurel Wreath in a tennis-friendly dark green.
Sizes available for the Fred Perry Reissues 1952 archive polo shirt are from 36 through to 44 and all are available to buy right now. If you want one, it retails for £79.
