Likely to sell out in minutes, the Liam Gallagher x Clarks Originals Rambler shoes are launching this week.
I presume they’ll sell out quickly as numerous retailers are doing Adidas-style draws for a pair of these rather than – as yet – offering them on open sale. I can’t see many making it to open sale, but you never know.
Adidas is a good comparison, too, as LG has produced some Adidas designs in the past, although this is (I believe) the first time he has worked on his own Clarks Originals design.
It has the limited edition selling point, as well as the inevitable Liam Gallagher/Oasis appeal too. But it’s also a good-looking piece of footwear that will appeal to Clarks aficionados as well. Just as long as you don’t mind having a pic of Liam on your heel when you go out.
Although not the first shoe you think of when you hear the word ‘Clarks’, this is one of the classics and a comfortable design I have had in my collection in the past. Just not quite like this one.
Made in Portugal, the LG x Clarks Originals Rambler offers up a suede and leather upper in a light and tan finish (very of the season), finished with dual branding on the signature lace tags and an embossed portrait of Gallagher on the heel with LG Rambler also emblazoned on there.
A crepe sole, of course, which is as much a trademark as any label. And for a finishing touch, a custom box and two sets of laces.
If you want to take your chances without going in a draw, Aphrodite 1994 will have these on the shelves at an unspecified time on 21st October 2022.
Other retailers, such as Hip and End are doing a draw if you want to go down that route too.
