Already selling out, the limited edition Clarks Originals x Liam Gallagher Desert Rain shoes won’t be around long.
That’s because this one is a limited edition and because any limited edition connected directly with a Gallagher brother tends to clear out pretty quick. Just look how much the Adidas Padiham LG or the Training 72 NG go for to get an idea of why.
This one isn’t an Adidas collaboration, it’s the rework of a Clarks shoe with Liam Gallagher – and not ask obvious one.
The Desert Rain is a Clarks Originals design, but I’m pretty sure it was one of the hybrid shoes that appeared around the end of there 1990s rather than being a vintage design. Mind you, that’s over 25 years ago now.
The new version’s selling point is, of course, the jumbo cord upper. We all love a cord shoe or boot. That’s matched up with the chunky pebble crepe sole unit to give it the Clarks ‘look’.
Other touches are a leather lining, tonal round laces, a full-length sock liner, double sided suede fobs, the Trek mask logos (looking a touch like Liam), and of course, co-branding inside and on the box.
Those last details will make them very collectable. Note that these haver sold out already at Clarks, but Hip has a full run of sizes as I write this. You can bag a pair for £140.
