This one is all about the cloth. Although the Fred Perry X Oi Polloi Harrington Jacket is also a good-looking piece of kit.
Ultimately though. this is a Harrington Jacket and you want to be in the market for one of those if this is to appeal. You can pick up some heavily discounted Baracuta Harringtons at Stuarts right now if you just want a classic. But this is a slight variation on the theme.
Yes, a classic Harrington via Fred Perry, which always does a strong Harrington. as good as the Baracuta for me. But this one is part of a vintage sporting mini range, which also includes some shorts and a couple of towelling polo shirts. Plus this jacket, which also involves some old school towelling.
Described as a jacket ‘inspired by Fred Perry’s trailblazing use of towelling’ as well as old-school leisurewear, it is made of a hard-wearing twill fabric which is lined with a terry towelling for comfort and a touch of luxury.
Of course, it also has all those other details you would expect, such as dual-zip fastening, a buttoned neck tab, ribbed cuffs and hem, umbrella vent, two slash pockets with button flaps and the Fred Perry tag. But with some added comfort and with the white finish, a strong look too.
Made in England and with all the usual size options, you can get one of these for £250. As I said, if you want a Baracuta, have a look at that sale link above.
