A regular in recent ranges, the 1960s-style Beams Plus Stripe Cardigans are back once more in a new set of colours.
It’s a slightly tweaked design, too, but nothing particularly radical. Probably confined to carrying the stripes down through the pockets. If you want to compare and contrast, have a look at the fourth image down. That’s one of last year’s cardigans, which you can pick up in the sale. That strip continuation is pretty much the only difference to this set of eyes.
Of course, it’s a quality item. The Beams Plus range out of Japan always is – I’ve had items for years that still pass as fairly new. Buy well rather than buy twice.
It’s a vintage-style cardigan, very much inspired by the 1960s, with a touch of the collegiate thrown in. It’s also constructed with cotton for the warmer months.
The colours also have a vintage edge, with the detailing being those contrasting stripes. It also has a v-neck, five-button front, ribbed trims, and a couple of pockets. It’s smart enough to wear smart and adaptable as a casual item, too.
Want one? The new ones are just in for £155, with the cardigan from last year selling for £93.
