Something I loved when it appeared, so of course, the Beams Plus zip knitted polo shirts make sense in the sale.
Beams Plus isn’t a cheap label. But it is a well-made range and investing in it usually means clothing that will see you through for years. After all, these are heritage-style designs, so they’re not likely to go ‘out’.
It’s also a label that tends to specialise (although not exclusively) in 1960s ivy designs when it comes to inspiration. So if that’s your area, this is a label to keep an eye on. And of late, it has produced some lovely pieces, many of which are in the sale.
If you want a proper look at some, look at the 200 Beams Plus sale items at End Clothing or the selection at Hip. It’s the latter where you’ll find the polos here.
I like these. They are very mid-1960s. The kind of thing that works in summer but also works now if slip in an extra layer.
Take your pick from two colour options (the ones pictured here), with both having the full zip front, contrasting pattern and stripes, and construction is a mix of flax and cotton.
Do check the sizing as it’s quite a neat fit by all accounts, but all sizes are available as things stand. Originally at £130, you can pick one up in the sale for £80.
