How do you make a t-shirt stand out? You create something like this Soleri vintage-style knitted t-shirt by Anglozine.
I’m a big fan of Anglozine, which takes inspiration from the past, but makes something very much its own with some subtle twists. That’s best explained by taking a look at the recently-launched Soleri.
It looks every bit like a t-shirt design from the 1960s. Bold stripes, bright colours and the round collar. But there’s more it than meets the eye. Which is why I’m flagging this one up.
There’s the raglan shoulder of course, as well as the slightly longer sleeve, the 100 per cent gassed cotton construction and best of all, a left-side seam pocket with an invisible zip. What use is that? Well, as you can see, it’s a great place for a summer essential like your sunglasses or even a credit card, keys or some cash. A clever little detail and the little details always create the bigger picture.
Of course, it’s a good-looking design for the warmer months and in light of the current weather, it might be a good option right now. Not a cheap option though, with the Italian-made Soleri selling for £180 in either of the colours.
