You have probably seen these classics before, but perhaps not in this finish. The Spring Court G2 plimsolls in Nappa leather are now available.
What can you say about Spring Court plimsolls that hasn’t been said before? Not a lot if I’m being honest, Spring Court has been making sports shoes, particularly tennis shoes, since 1936 and it’s the classic tennis plimsolls like the G2 which are still the label’s calling card.
Not that they are just about the tennis court. The G2 is a classic and rather like the Tretorn tennis shoes, have gone way beyond the sports arena. In fact, the G2 is probably best known these days for being worn by John Lennon on the Abbey Road cover and even on his wedding day.
Still a great option for everyday casual wear too. I would say their stock has never been higher on that front. And if you want to stand out from the crowd, the new premium finish is probably where it’s at.
Each pair have been cut from a ‘grainy’ Nappa leather that’s both soft as well as good-looking. Of course, it still has the gum sole unit, the Spring Court’s instantly recognisable ventilation holes, tonal eyelets and a large toe cap, along with some subtle branding on the tongue.
Black, blue and cream are the colours of the Spring Court G2 plimsolls in Nappa leather, with all available directly from Spring Court for €129. Alternatively, Peggs and Son has the cream for £115.
