A label I have featured before, but this Team Atala retro track top by Magliamo is new to the range.
You might well recall the label from its vintage World Cup track tops, its wider range of cycling tops, and even vintage cycling tracksuits. You get the idea.
Yes, vintage or retro cycling gear, as well as some associated designs with more of a wider vintage pull. Clothing that works for the retro cyclist but also works as regular, everyday clothing that catches the eye. This new design is a typical example of it.
A design celebrating a now-departed cycling team (it was officially retired in 1989), it has the label/logo on the chest, just under the Italian flag. The top itself is made of 100% extra-fine Italian merino wool, designed in Belgium and produced in Poland. Something of a joint European venture.
Compared to a cycling jersey, the zipped cycling track top is warmer and made with thicker wool. So it’s a great option for the autumn. Available in all sizes directly from the maker, it sells for £128.66.
